DIY: On the road again III

Now again a thing, which is easy to DIY and very helpful if you are on a trip!


Jetzt wieder einmal ein Ding, das wirklich leicht zum Selbermachen ist und trotzdem auf Ausflügen sehr nützlich sein kann!


Book-Protection


Such a thing is very helpful if you are at the beach or you carry your books in your (messy)handbag and don't want them to become ugly :)


Ein solches Ding ist wirklich praktisch für den Strand oder für die (chaotische) Handtasche - wenn ihr nicht wollt, dass eure Bücher hässlich werden :)


What you need:


* Leather
* Book
* Needle, thread, chalk


* Leder
* Buch
* Nadel, Faden, Kreide


How to DIY:

1. Adapt the leather to the book.
1. Das Leder an das Buch anpassen.

2. Cut it off, remove the book ;-)
2. Abschneiden, Buch entfernen ;-)

3. Sew the leather on the ends - don't forget to leave left and right a butt strap (I hope this is what I mean...) where you can put your book in it after finishing the project.
3. Das Leder an den Enden nähen - nicht vergessen, links und rechts eine Lasche zu lassen, wo man das Buch hineingeben kann, wenn das Projekt fertig ist. 

4. I tried to draw it, maybe you get it ;-) (if you have questions you can ask me). The red thing is the book, the blue the leather.
4. Ich hab versucht, es zu zeichnen, ich hoffe, da versteht man es (sonst könnt ihr mich ruhig fragen). Das rote Ding ist das Buch, das blaue das Leder.

5. This is how you can sew it. The Black one is the first, the red the second step.
5. Ein Weg, wie man nähen kann. Die schwarze Zeichnung ist der erste Schritt, die rote der zweite. 

6. In the end you can "write" or "draw" something on it :).
6. Zum Schluss kann man etwas "hinaufzeichnen" oder "hinaufschreiben" :).
