DIY: Dip Dye

Recently I made a big mistake: I wore my favourite pastel-green dress at a party but somebody spilled wine - RED wine - and I had an ugly violet blot on my light dress which only got brown by washing. So I decided to dye the dress - and this is my result ;)
 
Vor kurzem hab ich einen ziemlich großen Fehler begangen: Ich hab mein pastellgrünes Lieblingskleid auf einer Party getragen und jemand hat Wein verschüttet - ROTEN Wein - und ich hab einen hässlichen lila Fleck abbekommen, der nur braun wurde, als ich das Kleid wusch. Also hab ich entschieden, das Kleid neu einzufärgen - und das ist mein Ergebnis ;)

What you need:
 
* Dress
* String/ Cord
* Scissors
* Dye-Colour and everything which the package insert of your colour says
 
* Kleid
* Faden
* Schere
* Farbe zum Färben und alles, was die Packungsbeilage der Farbe noch verlangt
 
How to DIY:

Das war der Fleck -.-

 

1. Wrinkle the end of your dress.
1. Das Ende des Kleides falten.

 

2. So it should look like this.
2. Es sollte dann ungefähr so aussehen.

 

3. Twist your string around.
3. Mit der Schnur umwickeln.

 

4. Prepare the colour as the package insert says. Make your dress wet and hang it into the colour - but only half of the dress (or how much you want). The colour will now climb higher and higher but gets lighter and lighter.
Die Farbe nach Packungsbeilage anrichten. Das Kleid nass machen und in die Farbe halten - aber nur das halbe Kleid (oder wie viel eben gewünscht ist). Die Farbe wird nun am Kleid "hinaufklettern", aber immer heller werden.
 
5. In the end wash it, dry it and fix it. 
5. Zum Schluss noch auswaschen, trocknen und fixieren.
