DIY: White lace

There are many things which I adore, one of them is lace. And so I made an (a bit boring) dress - more interesting.

Es gibt so viele Dinge, die ich liebe, eines davon ist Spitze. Und deshalb hab ich ein etwas langweiliges Kleid - interessanter gemacht.


Lacedress



What you need:

* Dress
* Lace
* Sewing machine, thread, needle
* Scissors, chalk
* Pins

* Kleid
* Spitze
* Nähmaschine, Faden, Nadel
* Schere, Textilkreide
* Stecknadeln




How to DIY:


1. Fold the dress in the middle and draw (at the back) half of a drop. Cut it out.
2. When you open the dress again you have cut a whole drop (picture 2).
3. Now turn your dress (so the outside is now inside) and fold the ends of the drop and iron them (picture 3).
4. Pin the lace on the drop (picture 4) and sew it rough with the hands (picture 5). Remove the pins.
5. Now sew the lace on the dress, cut off every lace you don't need, turn the dress again and wear it :)
(I hope you understood everything... If you don't try to translate the German version with google ;-)

1. Faltet das Kleid in der Mitte und zeichnet (mit der Stoffkreide) einen halben Tropfen auf den Rückenteil. Schneidet ihn aus.
2. Wenn ihr das Kleid nun wieder öffnet, müsste ein ganzer Tropfen ausgeschnitten sein (wie bei Bild 2).
3. Jetzt dreht ihr das Kleid um (sodass die Außenseite innen ist und umgekehrt) und faltet die Enden - die Nahtzugaben - des Tropfens nach außen. Bügelt sie. (Bild 3).
4. Mit den Stecknadeln steckt ihr die Spitze auf den Tropfen (wie Bild 4) und räht (häftet) sie grob an das Kleid (Bild 5). Entfernt die Nadeln wieder.
5. Jetzt näht ihr die Spitze auf das Kleid, schneidet die überschüssigen Ränder der Spitze ab, dreht das Kleid wieder um und zieht es an ;-)
