Mittendrin

I think most of you've already noticed my new design, as well as the new header of my blog.

I have to admit: I couldn't stand my old anymore, really, when I looked at it I nearly got sick (well, that's a bit exaggerated, but, yes, I hated it). I don't know if I leave this header, but at the moment I at least feel a lot more comfortable with it.

Besides, I didn't like the whole design, so I had to change that, too. I think it will take me years till all the pictures of my blog will be the same size (I have to enlarge every single one!) but I love big pictures and so I will take the time.

 

That my blog also has a new name has several reasons: First of all, I think "Fashion your look" sounds a bit childish (don't ask me why) and I don't like the sound of it anymore.

What is more, it sounds too fashion-like and (you will have noticed that) my blog is not only about fashion anymore, but also about photography and words.

I know, my old name wasn't only "Fashion your look", but "What I do and how I like - Fashion your look". Well, I liked that, but it was much too long. Just try to say the name quickly - yeah, I know, that doesn't work.

So I decided to make up a new name, something totally new, without the words "Fashion your look" (but of course I left the old link). And yes, because of that I named my blog "Words make Pictures".

 

I know, the last weeks I neglected the DIY-projects a bit. But I have them in mind, I will not give them up. I just need a bit more time for figuring new things out and for making these things.

Till then: Stay tuned, look at my lowly photos and read my little texts. And remember: Words make pictures. In your mind and in your heart.

Ich glaube, die meisten von euch werden schon mitbekommen haben, dass ich nicht nur das Design meines Blogs geändert habe, sondern auch meinen Header. Ich muss ganz ehrlich zugeben: Den hab ich überhaupt nicht mehr ausgehalten. Wenn ich ihn gesehen habe, hat er mir Brechreiz verursacht (okay, ich muss zugeben, dass das ein wenig übertrieben ist, aber ja, ich hab ihn gehasst). Ich weiß noch nicht ob ich diesen jetzt lasse, aber für den Moment ist er auf jeden Fall besser als der Alte und ich fühle mich wohler damit.

Außer dem Header, hat mir eigentlich das ganze Design nicht gefallen. Es wird mir vermutlich Jahre meines Lebens kosten, alle Bilder des Blogs auf die gleiche Größe zu bringen (ich muss sie alle vergrößern!), aber ich liebe große Bilder einfach, also werde ich mir die Zeit nehmen.

 

Dass ich auch den Namen des Blogs geändert habe, hat mehrere Gründe: Erstens, finde ich "Fashion your look" klingt irgendwie kindisch (fragt mich nicht, warum) und ich mag den Klang einfach nicht mehr.

Außerdem finde ich ihn zu an-Mode-erinnernd und (das werdet ihr wahrscheinlich mitbekommen haben) mein Blog dreht sich ja nicht mehr 100% um Mode, sondern auch um Fotografie und Wörter.

Ich weiß, der alte Name war ja gar nicht nur "Fashion your look", sondern "What I do and how I like - Fashion your look". Ja, das hat mir schon besser gefallen, aber es war einfach viel zu lange. Versucht das mal ganz schnell auszusprechen (ich weiß, es funktioniert nicht).

Also habe ich beschlossen, einen neuen Namen zu erfinden, etwas ganz Neues, ohne den Wörtern "Fashion your look" (den Link hab ich aber natürlich gleich gelassen). Und ja, so bin ich auf den Namen "Words make Pictures" gekommen.

 

Ich weiß, in den letzten Wochen hab ich die DIY-Projekte ziemlich vernachlässigt. Aber ich habe vor, weiter welche zu posten und sie nicht aufzugeben. Ich muss nur ein paar Ideen in die Tat umsetzten.

Bis dahin: Bleibt dran, seht euch meine bescheidenen Fotografiekünste an und lest die kleinen Texte. Und denkt immer daran: Words make pictures. In your mind and in your heart.
