A few days in Amsterdam

Our last stop was Amsterdam. It was the city where I thought that it'll be the best and most beautiful - but I have to admit that I expected a bit too much.

 

It was beautiful - the houses, the many bikes and especially the little rivers and parks in the city, but there were so many tourists and I've heard more German words than Dutch ones. And all come just because of one thing (I think I don't have to explicate that) - and this fact made me a bit mad.

 

As already mentioned: I loved it, that there are so many people riding their bikes, tandems or tricycles ;) - that keeps the city clean and gives an eco-friendly impression.

But you have to be careful: They don't pay attention to anyone, especially not to walkers.

  

One of my favourite places in Amsterdam was the Waterlooplein. There is a a big market with old and new things you can buy and I found really cheap pocket watches there (they are a great present). But my highlight of this market was the second-hand-shop "Episode" at the end of the marketplace - here I found my "new" Levi's-high-waist-shorts, which I love so much and which were very cheap!

 

Well, because a wasp stung me in my finger, I have big problems with writing, so I stop now. But as usual, feel free to ask if you have any questions :)

Unser letzter Stop war Amsterdam. Es war die Stadt, die ich mir am schönsten vorgestellt habe - aber ich muss zugeben, ich hab ein bisschen zu viel erwartet.

 

Sie war schön - die Häuser, die vielen Fahrräder und vor allem die Flüsschen und Parks der Stadt, aber es waren einfach viel zu viele Touristen und ich hab mehr deutsche Wörter gehört als niederländische. Und alle kommen nur wegen dem einen (das muss ich wohl nicht näher erläutern) - und das hat mich irgendwie genervt.

 

Wie bereits erwähnt, mir hat es sehr gut gefallen, dass so viele Menschen mit ihren Fahrrädern, Tandems und Dreirädern ;) durch die Stadt fahren - das hält sie sauber und macht einen umweltfreundlichen Eindruck.

Aber Achtung: Die meisten Fahrradfahrer passen überhaupt nicht auf Fußgänger auf.

 

Einer meiner Lieblingsplätze in Amsterdam war der Waterlooplein. Dort gibt es einen riesigen Markt mit alten und neuen Sachen, die man kaufen kann und ich hab wirklich sehr billige Taschenuhren gefunden, die sich super zum Herschenken eignen. Aber mein Highlight war wohl der Second-Hand-Shop "Episode" am Ende des Platzes - hier hab ich meinen "neuen" Levi's-High-Waist-Shorts gefunden, die ich liebe und die wirklich billig waren!

 

Ja, leider hat mich ja vor zwei Taen eine Wespe in den Finger gestochen, jetzt fällt mir das Schreiben noch recht schwer. Aber wie immer, wenn ihr Fragen habt, bitte keine Scheu ;)
